Footy Colours Day!
On Friday 5th September, the staff here at Custom Cartons, got behind a worthy cause and participated in Footy Colours Day!
Footy Colours Day is organised each year by the Fight Cancer Foundation in order to raise much needed funds to support the education of Aussie kids living with cancer.
More than 600 Aussie kids and teens are diagnosed with cancer every year. Chemotherapy, surgery, a bone marrow transplant and other treatments challenge young bodies. During treatment and recovery they can miss hundreds of days away from school, friends and family. A young student with leukaemia and recovering from a bone marrow transplant may be away from school for up to two years. The Fight Cancer Foundation's Education Support program enables young cancer patients to stay connected with their friends and teachers until they can transition back to school successfully.
In an effort to support this worthy cause, here at Custom Cartons, we organised a special morning tea, encouraged all of our staff to don their favourite footy colours, and even had a Footy Colours Day auction! Some of the items up for auction included parking in one of the 6 undercover executive car parks for one week, and an "autographed" football!
Over $360 was raised by the staff here at Custom Cartons and we are proud to have made such a contribution.
